Essex Rivers Hub
Pant; Clay Wood and Pumping Station, Middle Reach
Over half a million ponds have been lost over the last century and with them being able to support a wide variety of wildlife, it is important to restore and create ponds where the habitat is sutiable.
This site has been surveyed and found to be sutiable for offline pond creation in the hope that it will increase the biodiversity of the area and help to restore the falling number of ponds in the UK.
There is also the potential for 200m of back channel creation which will help to increase diversity and manage river flow.
