River Cam

The River Cam, also known as the Granta, rises in the hills of Uttlesford, near Debden in Essex. It runs through Newport where it is joined by Debden Water and Wicken Water before flowing past Saffron Walden and into Cambridgeshire.
There it joins the Rhee and other tributaries before passing through the centre of Cambridge and eventually draining into the River Great Ouse over a total distance of 69 km.

This map shows the current projects; potential, in progress and completed, for the River Cam.
